Health: Cora seems to be sick alot. I feel like I take her to the doctor every other week but it's never anything serious. She's had a runny nose for probably 3 weeks now and a rattly cough for a little over a week. I take her in and her ears are perfect and lungs sound clear. Maybe allergies?? Who knows.
Words: It seems to me that Cora is talking more than Jane was at this age. Her very first official word came this past week and it was... poop. I really think though that she said the word "trash" before. She loves to take her diaper to the trash after I change her and has been repeating me saying trash for a few weeks now. Her words so far are poop, trash, bath (or the ba sound). She really tries to repeat lots of things, most of the time only getting the first syllable out. She also will make a sound for a dog. Her new favorite is "uh, oh" but it sounds more like "uh, uh, uh." We always know when she's thrown or dropped something or when something is out of place when we hear Cora's "uh, uh, uh."
Sleep: Cora has pretty much transitioned to 1 nap, although if I need her to take 2 she still can. Most of the time I keep her up in the mornings and put all 3 of them down at noon. It's heavenly. If we're home and she's super grumpy in the mornings I'll put her down around 10 but then she's off schedule from the big kids and won't go back down until they're waking up around 2-3pm.
Playing: She loves to do anything the Bigs are doing. If they're outside she wants to be there and if they're in their room, she wants to be there. Cora is really great about playing by herself (with others around). She's often looking through a book or stacking blocks or something by herself and can play well for awhile.
Temperament: Cora is in a word, a brute. She's big and take charge and no one stands in her way. If she wants something she's going to get it and the Bigs are actually scared of her. She pinches and pulls hair and loves to put her little foot on the big kids in the car when they can do nothing about it. Ha!
She is also SO cuddly! She loves to climb in our laps and put her head on our shoulder when she's tired or sit beside us and put her head in our laps. She loves being held and I love holding her. :)
Skills: Cora can sign more and milk/drink. She can do motions to This Little Light of Mine, The Wheels on the Bus, My God is so Big and The Itsy Bitsy Spider. She's started doing big kid things like finding a diaper, laying down on the floor and acting like she's going to change herself. And just today I asked her to take off her shoes and she sat down and tried! She couldn't do it but it was fun to me to see that she understands what I'm saying. She's been trying to put on her shoes too. She also understands the phrase, "Sit on your bottom." She hears that alot in the bathtub and when she's on the big kid's beds. She likes to blow her food when it's hot, blow her light in This Little Light of Mine and say shhh for the mommy's on the bus. She also knows where her nose, ears and belly button are and can point them out on other people.

She is a treasure for sure. I loved her climbing in the dog's bed and running Peaches out. She was so proud of that feat. She is a cuddle bug and will give the best hugs.
Love G
I thought I commented here?!? That's weird. I loved that Cora is eating snacks from Prague in these pictures. The "eating picture" with her hand over her mouth reminds me of one of my baby pictures for some reason. It's probably the shiny hair on a nearly bald head . ;)
So fun that she's so cuddly... I wish I could hug her. So fun to think about her trying to do things like putting her shoes on. So not fun that the Bigs are scared of her. ;)
